I'm originally from Versailles, Kentucky, a quaint yet growing small town. Versailles is not pronounced the French way, it's pronounced ver/sale/z. My niece and nephew, when not headstrong and rebellious, are a huge joy in my life. Here are some fun stories from this trip:
Autumn, who is 5 with beautiful blonde hair and cute country freckles, told me what movie she was looking forward to: "I want to see Potty Train Your Dragon 2."
Noah, a rambunctious 8 year old with killer dimples, is always picking on his sister. They usually get in to shoving and wrestling matches with Autumn doing her best to defend herself. One morning when we were all talking on Autumn and her mother's bed, completely unprovoked, Autumn, who was lying down, slyly slipped down to where her brother was sitting. She gingerly put her foot on his shoulder and in an incredible burst of energy, surprisingly and swiftly pushed Noah off the bed! We all gasped and my quick reflexes were able to catch him before he hit the floor. When I placed him back on the bed, he had a dazed grin on his face. Matter-of-factly he said, "I'm happy and afraid all at the same time!"
Later I was having fun with Noah and had him tell people in public, "The government put a chip in my head." It gave great amusement to the receivers. Then, Autumn chimed in, "The government put a chip in my head... it's a chocolate chip!"
